Investing in youth leadership: Successful interventions show that a peer educator approach is most appropriate to convey the AIDS message to the target group. Since more than 60% of new HIV infections occur among young people aged 15 to 25, with adolescent girls and young women of childbearing age most affected, interventions
that will reduce the vulnerability of these groups are needed. While in SA, OTM will be collaborating with select peer educators from GOLD (Generation of Leaders Discovered)implementing community based projects that respond to the identified needs of each community.
Funding: $50k
